Duck River Electric Membership Corporation has a job opening for the following position(s):

Job Title:  Director of Engineering

Location:   Shelbyville, TN

Job Duties: Director will be responsible for the management of engineering department 13 employees. Knowledge and technical skills with designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining adequate, economical and reliable electric service for consumer-members of the Cooperative.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power Option preferred) from an ABET accredited program
  • Professional Engineer license strongly preferred
  • Must possesses excellent communication skills, including being an effective speaker and facilitator
  • 10 years of experience with managing an engineering team for an electric distribution utility system is preferred
  • Possess high technical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of TVA Transmission processes
  • Experience with MilSoft WindMil, Autocad, ESRI, SEL relays, GIS and SCADA may be a plus
  • Working knowledge of government regulations affecting electric utilities

Reporting:  Reports to President and CEO
