17 Aug Counting down to 2016 DREMC Annual Meeting
Duck River EMC members will observe the co-op’s 80th anniversary this Saturday, Aug. 20, at the 2016 Annual Meeting to be held at the Tennessee Farm Bureau Headquarters, 147 Bear Creek Pike, in Columbia.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with the business session to follow at 9:30. Tennessee Farm Bureau President Jeff Aiken will issue a special welcome to co-op members.
The business session incudes reports by the board chairman, treasurer and chief executive officer; recognition of Washington Youth Tour participants; the Nominating Committee’s report; election of unopposed director candidates; and unfinished and new business.
After the business session adjourns, door prize drawings will be held. The grand prize this year is a STIHL lithium-ion battery-powered lawn care package, including an electric walk-behind mower, blower and trimmer, with two rechargeable batteries and battery charger.
Gifts for the first 300 co-op members who register are a choice of the 80th anniversary DREMC cookbook or an anniversary cap.
Informational tables include Co-ops Vote, Project Help, Beat the Peak, and eScore.
Those attending the Annual Meeting will be directed to parking areas at the rear of the Tennessee Farm Bureau headquarters.
