Security Light
The installation and maintenance of a security light on an existing pole is available for a monthly rental fee. Contact your local office for rates and requirements.
Life Support
If you or a family member is depending on life support equipment, please let us know. This will help us identify areas that should have service restored first when multiple areas are without electricity. Contact your local DREMC office with the type life-support equipment involved, your address and telephone number.
Auxiliary Generator
If you are considering the purchase of an auxiliary generator for your farm, home or business, contact DREMC's Member Services Department for assistance. The cooperative will assist you in sizing the generator to your load requirements and provide wiring recommendations of the unit so it can be wired in safely. Safety is a priority for DREMC and its members.
Surge Protectors
Your home is packed with expensive electronic equipment and appliances. Most of these products are made with sensitive digital microprocessors to make them work faster. Unfortunately, this also makes them very susceptible to permanent damage through power disturbances - unless you protect them with surge protectors. Typical over-the-counter surge protectors just aren't advanced enough to protect today's sensitive digital equipment. That's why Duck River Electric offers a complete power protection program capable of protecting all of your valuable assets.
Stop by your local DREMC office and take a look at the surge protector display in the lobby. You will find a protector for your every need, whether it is a meter ring surge suppressor for "whole house" white appliance protection or individual plug-in units for added protection to individual appliances and electronics. Duck River Electric offers a great product at a very reasonable price. . .with an insurance policy from the manufacturer to cover damages should your electronics and the surge protector be damaged.
