The Duck River Electric Membership Corporation (DREMC) Board of Directors is comprised of 13 directors, which includes 12 members who are elected by the consumer-members within their respective districts and one appointed by the University of the South. The board meets monthly on the fourth Wednesday unless the date must change due to scheduling conflicts or holiday observances.
Board meeting dates are announced each month in DREMC’s edition of The Tennessee Magazine. Meetings are held in the board room of the DREMC Administration Annex at 305 Learning Way, Shelbyville, TN. The meetings are open to the members. If a member desires to speak on an issue at a board meeting, the bylaws state that the member must notify the CEO at least five (5) business days (Monday through Friday), excluding cooperative observed holidays, prior to the scheduled board meeting so the matter may be placed on the agenda for the upcoming meeting.
