Being a member of DREMC means that you are an important part of who we are. We are committed to serving the members of the cooperative.

The DREMC team works to improve the sustainability and well-being of the communities we serve. We invest in local economies by helping improve infrastructure and supporting community growth.

Because DREMC is member-owned and operated, democratic processes allow members to vote in annual cooperative board elections for which directors are nominated from among the members. Cooperatives encourage members to voice their thoughts and ideas. Your electric cooperative works for the good of the community and adheres to these seven guiding principles:

  • Voluntary and open membership
  • Democratic member control
  • Member economic participation
  • Autonomy and independence
  • Education, training, and information
  • Cooperation among cooperatives
  • Concern for community

Your DREMC board members are from your community, and because they work and/or live in your community and raise their families there, they likely want the same things you want. This provides local control. Your board directors listen and respond to members’ suggestions and requests.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
