26 January, 2026 Restoration Update: Monday Morning
As of 6:35 a.m., approximately 4,212 DREMC members remain without power. Outages continue to be concentrated in Maury County, including the Mt. Pleasant, Williamsport, Santa Fe, and Culleoka areas.
Some members were restored overnight, while others experienced new or repeat outages as conditions worsened. Extreme cold and ongoing weather advisories continue to impact the areas where crews are working, and temperatures are expected to fall further throughout the day.
Office Closure
Due to the state of emergency and hazardous travel conditions across our service area, all DREMC offices will be closed today. Member service representatives will remain available by phone and email through remote operations, ensuring that closure does not impact outage reporting or restoration coordination. This step allows employees to stay safe while continuing to support members throughout the event.
Crew Deployment and Working Conditions
All available DREMC crews are currently assigned to the Columbia and Lewisburg districts, where every remaining outage is located as of the time of publication. Crews are working continuously, pausing only for required rest. Many have not returned home since restoration efforts began in order to maximize time in the field.
Administrative and member service teams are also working extended hours to assist with restoration and communication. We know how difficult it is to be without power in these conditions, and every employee is committed to doing all we can. We are grateful to the local businesses and restaurants who have braved the weather to offer warm meals and support.

How Restoration Works
DREMC follows a standard restoration protocol to bring the greatest number of members back online as safely and efficiently as possible. Work begins with safety hazards and system‑wide repairs, then moves to critical facilities such as hospitals and emergency services, followed by neighborhoods and individual homes. We know the cold creates real hardship and that every member’s situation matters. To bring service back to the greatest number of people as quickly and safely as possible, crews must follow the restoration sequence and aren’t able to accommodate individual repair requests.
Outage Reporting and Damage Notifications
Our system automatically detects many outages, helping crews identify where repairs are needed even before members report a problem. Before calling to report an outage, we encourage members to check the live outage map at dremc.com/map to confirm whether their area is already listed. This helps keep phone lines open for reports of downed lines, damaged poles, or other hazards.
If you see damage such as trees on lines or broken poles, please call 931‑684‑4621 or email corpinfo@dremc.com.
What to Expect Today
Given the current conditions, restoration will continue to be slow and may fluctuate as new damage occurs from ice and extreme cold. We urge all members to take precautions, stay safe, and make the decisions that are best for themselves and their families. Crews will continue responding as quickly as conditions allow and working safely while restoring power.
DREMC has seen the overwhelming encouragement from our members on social media, and we are truly grateful. In the middle of these challenging conditions, your kind messages lift our crews and staff. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
