The Duck River Electric Membership Corporation Committee on Nominations met on March 2, 2026, to select director nominees for the 2026 election. The committee nominated the following for election by the DREMC membership to serve on the cooperative’s board. If elected, each will serve a three-year term. These individuals will be presented for election in conjunction with the Annual Membership Meeting on August 15, 2026.

Sammy Morton, Zone 1, Coffee, Cannon & Warren Counties

Philip Duncan, Zone 2, Franklin, Grundy & Marion Counties

Brian Riddle, Zone 4, Bedford & Rutherford Counties

Anthony Kimbrough, Zone 6, Maury, Hickman, Lawrence, & Williamson Counties

Candidates may also be nominated by petition for election to the DREMC board. Petitions must be delivered to W. Andrew Bobo at Bobo, Hunt & White, 111 Spring Street, Suite 202, P.O. Box 169, Shelbyville, TN 37162, no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026.

All nominees for director positions must meet the requirements outlined in section 4.06 of the DREMC bylaws, which can be found here.

The 2026 DREMC Committee on Nominations includes, seated, Amy Martin, committee secretary representing Zone 4, and Larry Moorehead, committee chairman representing Zone 3. Standing are committee members Susan Askew, Zone 2; Jerry Hooper, Zone 5; Kelly Moore, Zone 2; and Roxanne Patton, Zone 1. Not present was Marty Davis, Zone 4.
