Resources to find local emergency shelters
Emergency Management Agencies are responsible for coordinating the county’s preparedness for and response to disasters, including major weather events, including those that cause widespread power outages.
Check with your local EMA for updates and information to help you be prepared for emergencies and how to recover from the effects.
Emergency shelters are made available during major weather-related events and other emergency situations. Please check with your community’s Emergency Management Agency for an updated list of emergency shelters that are open in your area. Call ahead to ensure that emergency shelter locations are up-to-date before you head to a shelter or warming center.
