Outage update: Sunday Morning

As of this morning at 6:32am, 1443 DREMC members across the area are without power due to icy conditions. Maury County is hit hardest, with scattered outages across Franklin, Coffee, Williamson, Lewis, Giles, Marshall and Grundy counties.

As we approach sunrise, additional crews will be dispatched to begin restoration, and the cooperative has called in Member Service representatives to assist with calls and correspondence from members. You can learn more about DREMC’s preparations for Winter Storm Fern in previous updates from Saturday and Friday.

Duck River Electric reminds members that our system automatically detects many outages, allowing us to see problem areas even before members call. Before reporting an outage, they ask that residents check the live outage map at dremc.com/map, which reflects this information in near real time. This helps keep phone lines open for reports of damage and allows crews to restore power as efficiently as possible.

If you see damage such as trees on lines or damaged poles, please call 931-684-4621 or email corpinfo@dremc.com. DREMC cautions that they expect outages may continue to rise as conditions persist. The electric co-op asks all community members to take precautions to stay safe in this hazardous conditions; crews are preparing to respond as quickly as conditions allow.
