Watts was born (hatched) in July 2025, on the sun-dappled banks of Quackawatt Springs, a little-known bend along the Duck River. Even as a duckling, Watts had a special spark about him, literally!
Childhood: He grew quickly, and once he became an avid swimmer and could fly long distances without tiring, Watts graduated with honors from Duckridge Academy, a well-regarded school for young Tennessean waterfowl. At the academy, Watts was captain of the swim team, and his favorite subjects were Applied Quackchanics and Hydro-Navigation. He was voted by his Duckridge classmates as “Most Likely to Brighten Your Day.”
Lineduck training: After graduation, Watts felt called to something bigger, something that would let him serve others. He enrolled in the DREMC Lineduck Training Program, a rigorous course that included storm-response flight drills, safety, teamwork, and commitment to the community. Today, Watts puts that training to work as DREMC’s official mascot, bringing energy, smiles, and a few feathery surprises wherever he goes.
His favorite things: He loves helping restore power, meeting kids at events, and anything that sparks joy! His favorite colors are red, blue, and yellow, and his favorite dance is “The Electric Slide.”
Fun fact: Watts never misses a chance to flap into a crowd, make a friend, and strike a pose for the camera. He has a way of bringing the energy wherever he goes!
