Storm Center: Winter Storm Fern

Thank you for your support during Winter Storm Fern.

In late January 2026, a mix of snowand ice swept across Tennessee, producing one of the most disruptive winter storms the state had experienced in years. In total, 360 workers, including crews, contractors, and internal staff behind the scenes, worked continuously to bring the power back online for thousands of members. At peak, on Sunday morning, January 25, 2026, Duck River Electric had almost 9,300 members without power. By Thursday, January 29, outages were down to less than 20 across the service area.

We are extremely grateful for the incredible support that our members and communities showed during the days following the storm. You can look back at past updates below, as well as explore other storm-related information and resources.
