Duck River EMC members in the Bob Stewman Rd. area near Sewanee will be without power for up to two hours this afternoon while line crews repair damage caused by a fallen tree. Duck River asks for power conservation to avoid expensive peak demand charges

The heat wave in Middle Tennessee continues, and so does Duck River EMC’s appeal to members to conserve electricity through Beat the Peak™. DREMC’s voluntary demand reduction program will be activated Thursday, June 25, from 4 until 6 p.m. High temperature and humidity are expected to ramp up power consumption even more than last week.
